The Advisory Council
Cartica’s Advisory Council is composed of distinguished and internationally-recognized investors and corporate governance experts from around the world. Member of the Advisory Council provide advice, assist in sourcing investment, help Cartica's professionals to address corporate governance and operational issues in investee companies and may serve on the boards of directors of portfolio companies.
- Stephen M. Davis. Project Director and Fellow at the Yale School of Management’s Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance and President of Davis Global Advisors, Inc.
- Bharat Doshi. Executive Director and Group CFO, Mahindra Group. Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Committee on Disclosures and Accounting Standards.
- Hasung Jang. Dean and Professor of Finance, Korea University Business School. Founder of Korea’s first shareholder activist group (PSPD). Executive Director of the Asian Institute of Corporate Governance. Co-Founder and Advisor to the Lazard Korea Corporate Governance Fund.
- Mervyn King. Chairman of the King Committee on Corporate Governance in South Africa, which drafted that country’s code of best practices.
- Iyad Malas. CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Trust in Dubai. Previously Regional Director for South Asia of the IFC. Former COO of EFG-Hermes investment bank in Egypt. Division Manager for Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa for IFC.
- Nell Minow. Co-Founder of the Corporate Library and Institutional Shareholder Services. Co-founded one of the first US activist funds, Lens.
